The 2nd cap in what has become the ‘Knothead’ series. This classic cap features a 4-loop knot centered across the top over a reverse stst ground. The cap top is knit flat then picked up around the edges & completed in the round, with brim picked-up across the center front as the last step. It is adjustable for a cutom fit & sized for adults. Some simple hand sewing is required to tack down band hem & brim facing.

For experienced knitters who like texture, understand the basics of knotwork knitting & are good chart readers.

Gauge is important for a good result on this project, you can use standard worsted weight or ‘heavy worsted weight’ yarn but you absolutely must use the needle size that will give you the 5 st per”x7.5 rows per” gauge, blocked & finished.
