This is a pattern that combines cables with texture, it would be suitable for a knitter with experience. The hat has a pom-pom but you can make it without it - check out the photo, the rib of the hat also has cables running through it which gives a nice variation to the ribbed edge. The style of the hat is slightly slouchy: but definitely not tight and its super cosy. If you want to make it even slouchier just add another cable, that’s an extra 8 rows.
I have knitted it in Rowan’s Kid Classic which is an Aran weight yarn that has the additional Mohair fibre which gives it a nice fluffy finish. I needed one and a half balls of the yarn which also gave me the pom-pom, 2 balls of yarn will easily make the project.
Hope you enjoy the project and please let me see your hat!
