Meet Fiona the Flamingo, ready to show off all some dancing moves in their fancy tutu. Fiona is knitted in stockinette stitch, with a sprinkling of shaping here and there. The lacy tutu is made by tying lengths of pink tulle fabric around a strip of ribbon (so no sewing required). Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the flamingo is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

A pair of 3.5mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour

SIZES
One size only - 45cm tall.

For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
