This triangular shawl is knitted starting from
the center back and it is shaped with increases
made on alternate rows, at the sides and in the
center. The body of the shawl features an
openwork stitch that forms diamonds with
three wrapped stitches inside. The final edge
echoes the wrapped stitch pattern, but on a
ribbed background. The picot bind-off, made
with a contrasting yarn, introduces the color
that will be used to embroider the daisies along
the entire edge.

Size: one size. The shawl is 145cm wide and
65cm high.
Yarn: 150g of Brogna wool dyed by “Le
Avventure di Arianna” in the main color (grey
in photos, 100% wool; 50g = 200m), about 10g
of the same yarn in turquoise (for the bind-off
and for embroidering the flower petals), a few
meters of the same yarn in yellow (for
embroidering the centers of the flowers). With
150g of the main color you can knit a one-color
version of the shawl, without embroidery.
Needles and materials: 3.5mm knitting
needles, tapestry needle to hide thread ends.
Gauge: Follow the instructions from the
beginning through row 26 of Chart 1 to obtain
a triangle measuring 20cm wide and 9cm high
after light blocking.
Difficulty level: intermediate.
