“Fire Sky”

This pattern has been created for an Outlander book and knitting group.

It is inspired by book 5 of the series by Diana Gabaldon that is being read as part of a group on Facebook.

I have taken the theme of the books title for inspiration and woven it around my concept for the piece.

Having last year already created a shawl for the Fiery Cross, I have this time, taken the thought of the night sky being a wash with colour from the glare of the Fiery Cross as it calls the Clansmen to gather together in unity, against whatever scenario is to be played out for which the cross has been lit.

It is aimed at knitters of all abilities, you will need to be able to knit, purl, knit into the front and back of a stitch, slip a stitch and make a stitch right and left. All the instructions for these knitting moves are included in the pattern.

To keep in the book club theme the pattern has been written in a book format rather than my normal layout. I hope you enjoy the taking part with this piece and the reading of the book.
