4mm circular needle (80cm) for part of yoke and main body
4mm circular needle (40cm) or 4 x 4mm DPNs
4.5mm circular needle (80cm) for colourwork

TENSION/GAUGE
Stocking stitch: 20 sts and 26 rows to 10 cm in stocking stitch on 4.5mm needles
Colourwork: 22 sts and 24 rows to 10 cm in stocking stitch / colourwork on 4.5mm needles
Sleeve Tension: 21sts and 26 rows to 10cm in colourwork on 4mm needles

A sporty, modern top-down jumper inspired by the sweeping lines and bold colours of a racing circuit. Knitted in a combination of DK and 4-ply yarn, this colourwork design uses green, black and white to create a graphic track-like chequered board effect that winds around the body.

The jumper is worked seamlessly from the top down, beginning at the neckline and shaping the yoke with increases. Once the yoke is complete, the body and sleeves are divided and worked separately from the top down, allowing the length to be easily customised as you knit.

COLOURWORK | The racing-track effect is created with stranded colourwork, using the three contrasting shades to form sweeping bands and curved track-inspired details. Keep the unused yarn floats relaxed across the back of the work so the fabric remains comfortable and stretchy. The colourwork section is charted, making it easy to follow the changing pattern around the yoke, body and sleeves.
