The Fizzy Water Hooded Cowl is a colorful unisex hooded cowl that is reversible and is perfect for freezing days with its double-layer construction. The hood has a close fit so you can wear it under your bike helmet or inside your coat’s hood. If you warm up, simply drop the hood as on any other hoodie.

This stitch pattern is worked one color at a time, and can be worked in almost any yarn combination you like. To begin, you will do a gauge swatch, from which you will determine the number of stitches to cast on. There is a built-in calculator in the PDF version, and a link to a version of the calculator in google docs. The calculator will fill in the number of stitches to cast on for the hood and for the cowl, but you can also do the simple calculations yourself, if you prefer to print it out before swatching.

There are two sizes: Make a long infinity cowl for more warmth, or a simple cowl for a more streamlined look, and to fit most easily under winter coats.

Instructions provided include charts and written instructions for the stitch pattern, and a video tutorial to assist with the increases.

This makes a great stashbuster. The red sample is made from sweater leftovers.

Pattern has been fully tested by Ann and Anita.
