This striking scarf is easy and fun to make in the Overlay Mosaic Crochet technique. Two contrasting solid colors are used in the scarf, with only one color used in each row. Fringe is added at the short ends, so there are no ends to weave in! The length and width of the scarf are fully adjustable. Make this enjoyable scarf any size you desire!

Photographed model made with Caron Simply Soft in #9757 Wine Country (MC) and #7 Melon (CC). Approx. 185 yds/169 m (3.5 oz/100 g) of MC (dark color) and 150 yds/137 m (2.8 oz/80 g) of CC (light color) was used for 60” scarf, including fringe.

The pattern includes full written instructions for each row of the scarf, as well as 2 mosaic crochet charts, so you can follow whichever you like. It also includes step-by-step photos for working in the back bump of the foundation chain (giving a nicer look to the bottom edge of the scarf), working a special stitch (anchored dc) and adding the fringe.

Bonus: There are no tails to weave in on this scarf, since the tails are added into the fringe! Don’t we all LOVE not having to weave in tails?
