Flinders Vest

The Flinders Vest is a cabled vest designed around balanced proportion and structured garment construction.

The body is worked seamlessly in the round to the underarm, preserving continuous cable alignment before transitioning to flat knitting for armhole shaping. The shoulders are joined using grafting in pattern, allowing the cable motifs to flow uninterrupted across the garment.

The design features four primary cable panels framed by narrow braids. Across the full size-inclusive range, the cable architecture is carefully adjusted to maintain visual balance while avoiding distortion or excess bulk.

Both cropped and full-length versions are integrated directly into the pattern architecture rather than scaled afterwards, ensuring consistent proportions across all sizes.

Part of the Lodestar Collection, the Flinders Vest explores sculptural cable texture through precise construction and refined finishing.

Comprehensive written instructions, charts, and companion technique videos guide knitters through cable work, shaping, grafting in pattern, and tubular bind-off techniques.
