Florida Fresh Oranges
This tiny bag of citrus uses a variety of interesting techniques. Knit the red mesh bag first. Then, fill it up with juicy oranges!
Gauge
White “label” for bag, and oranges: 8 sts x 12 rows per 1”/2.5mm
Red mesh: 3.5 sts x 4 rows per 1”/2.5mm
Finished Size
Bag is approximately 2 ½” long x 1¾” wide, and oranges are ¾”
Materials
Less than a ball of each or similar yarn:
MC: Lopi Einband 1770 Flame Red (lace weight)
CC: Rauma Finullgarn 0400 White (fingering weight)
Rauma Finullgarn 4305 Bright Yellow Orange (fingering weight)
Scrap of black fingering weight for bag closure
Scrap of green fingering weight for embroidering
DPNS in the following sizes: 8mm (US11), 6mm (US10), and 2.5mm (US1.5)
Small crochet hook, size 3.5mm (E-4) or similar
Darning needle
Small amount of poly or wool batting for stuffing the oranges
A stuffing tool such as the regular Stuffing Fork by Barbara Willis (optional, but extremely helpful)
