Pattern Notes
The poncho is worked seamlessly from the top down in the round.
The neck stitches may be cast on using an Italian Cast On, which creates a neat and elastic edge. If you are not familiar with this cast-on method, you may use a traditional long-tail cast-on or another stretchy cast-on of your choice.
After the neck ribbing, the poncho is worked in stockinette stitch in the round. The colorwork motifs are knitted as separate colorwork bands, with increase rounds worked evenly between them. These increases gradually shape the poncho towards the hem.
After the final colorwork band, the work is divided into front and back sections. The hem ribbing is then worked flat, creating side slits.
Floris is a versatile project that lends itself well to experimenting with different yarn and color combinations.

Suggested Yarn
The Floris poncho is designed to be knitted with two yarns held together throughout.

Recommended yarn combination:
A fine wool or alpaca yarn (approximately 300–450 m / 100 g / 328–492 yds) held together with a silk mohair yarn or another lightweight fluffy yarn

You may also use other yarns or yarn combinations, provided you achieve the gauge given in the pattern. Floris is an excellent project for using yarn from your stash. For example, you can:

• Hold two finer yarns together
• Use a single medium-weight wool yarn (approximately 160–250 m / 100 g / 175–273 yds)
• Use different yarns for the main color and contrast color
• Combine different fibre types to create your own unique fabric The most important thing is to achieve the correct gauge and choose yarns that work well together.

Työn kuvaus

Poncho neulotaan ylhäältä alaspäin suljettuna neuleena.

Pääntien silmukat voidaan luoda italialaisella aloituksella, joka muodostaa siistin ja joustavan reunan. Jos italialainen aloitus ei ole sinulle ennestään tuttu, voit käyttää tavallista ristiinluontia tai muuta joustavaa silmukoiden luontitapaa.

Pääntien joustinneuleen jälkeen työ jatkuu sileänä suljettuna neuleena. Kirjoneulekuviot neulotaan erillisinä kirjoneuleraitoina, joiden välissä tehdään tasaisesti lisäyksiä koko kerroksen aikana. Näin poncho levenee vähitellen kohti helmaa.

Viimeisen kirjoneuleraidan jälkeen työ jaetaan etu- ja takaosaan. Helman joustinneule neulotaan tasona, jolloin samalla muodostuvat sivuhalkiot.

Floris on monipuolinen neuleprojekti, jossa voit kokeilla erilaisia lanka- ja väriyhdistelmiä.

Lankasuositus

Floris-poncho on suunniteltu neulottavaksi kaksi lankaa yhdessä.

Suositeltu lankayhdistelmä:

Ohut villa- tai alpakkalanka (noin 300–450 m / 100 g) yhdessä silkki-mohairlangan tai muun ohuen pörrölangan kanssa.

Voit käyttää myös muita lankoja tai lankayhdistelmiä, kunhan saavutat ohjeessa annetun neuletiheyden. Floris sopii erinomaisesti myös lankavaraston hyödyntämiseen. Voit esimerkiksi:

• Yhdistää kaksi ohuempaa lankaa

Tärkeintä on saavuttaa oikea neuletiheys ja valita langat, jotka toimivat hyvin yhdessä.
