I wanted to make a top out of hexagons, and here it is! It has a doily look with defined hexagonal borders and a comfy ribbed edging. It’s a relaxed fit that hits a little below the waist.

This is probably a project for someone with a little bit of experience crocheting a variety of stitches, but it’s pretty easy to put together once you get the pieces made (8 full and 2 half hexagons). After it’s sewn together, just add a simple ribbed border to the bottom and the sleeves for a more fitted look.

I only have one size worked out right now, estimated as a S/M (model has 36” chest). To make a larger size, I would suggest a thicker yarn and hook or some extra border on/between the hexagons. The ribbed areas can easily be sized up or down, and have a little bit of stretch.
