This stylish beanie is worked in the round using the magic loop method, featuring centered diamond motifs only in the front.

Notions: You’ll need a US Size 1 (2.25 mm) circular needle and a US Size 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle, both 40” (100 cm) long if using the magic loop method. Double-pointed needles may be used instead, if preferred. Adjust needle sizes as needed to meet gauge. Additionally, you’ll need a tapestry needle for finishing and stitch markers (optional) to mark the beginning of the round.

Yarn Information: I used my own hand-dyed fingering weight yarn, with a yardage of approximately 420 meters (460 yards) per 100 grams. The pattern is designed to use both a solid and a variegated yarn, but feel free to substitute with any fingering weight yarn of your choice.
You will need about 60 grams in total (approx. 252 meters / 275 yards), divided as follows: around 36 grams (151 meters / 165 yards) of Main Black Yarn and approx. 24 grams (100 meters / 109 yards) of Variegated yarn.

Gauge:
2.25mm needle – 7.5 sts & 11 rows = 1” in stockinette stitch.
3.5mm needle – 6 sts & 8 rows = 1” in stockinette stitch
