Add a bouquet of flowers (or balloons) to your afghan - a little gift to show you care, you sympathize, or you simply want to brighten someone’s day.

This 9 inch afghan block creates the illusion of bouquets of flowers (or balloons!) by working slip stitch and chain spaces behind stitches - no tapestry crochet here, just basic stitches. The pattern was rated intermediate by the designer simply because of the back and forth between rounds stitch placement. However, the stitches are all pretty basic ones and this pattern could be taken on by an adventurous beginner that is comfortable reading patterns.
