They are forecasting a “la nina” winter, which means different things in different parts of the world. As a Midwesterner, I know that this translates to cold and snow, no matter how they try to spin it. Whether it’s colder or slightly warmer, or more or less snow, than average, you will be sure to need something to keep your head toasty.

A SUPER quick and easy knit, this makes such a warm hat with adorable cozy earflaps. The ribbing allows for lots of stretch. The childs version shown fits my 1 year old and 4 year old and the adult version fits my head as well as my husband’s.

This is the child and adult version of the “earflaps and leggies for babies” hat that I published a couple months ago. If you are looking for sizes smaller than toddler, see that pattern, which includes newborn through 12 months sizes.
