These forest creatures would be happy to look after your change for you. These zippered coin purses can be made into a Bear, a Raccoon or a Rabbit. Get creative with your colour choices and make even more animals! Each finished change purse measures 4 1/2 ” (11.5cm) wide by 3 1/4” (8.5cm) high.

Materials:
Yarn: Blue Sky Alpaca Sport Weight, 100% Baby Alpaca, 110y/ 100m; 50g
MC – “Natural White”
CC1 – “Medium Grey”
CC2 – “Black”
CC3 – “Streaky Brown”
CC4 - “Petal Pink”

Raccoon – 22 y/ 20 m (10g) CC1; 9 y/ 8 m (4g) MC; 9 y/ 8 m (4g) CC2
Rabbit – 48 y/ 44 m (22g) MC; scrap CC4 for embroidery
Bear – 42 y/ 38 m (19g) CC3; scrap CC2 for embroidery

Each Animal: Zipper 5” or longer; two 10mm safety eyes or buttons (optional); scrap yarn.

Tools:
US 4 (3.5mm) double pointed needles, circulars for magic loop technique or as needed to meet gauge; scrap yarn; matching thread; sewing needle; 2 stitch markers; tapestry needle.

Gauge:
21 sts/30 rows over 4”(10cm) in stockinette stitch.
