The Forest Stay Put Towel is easy to make with knit and purl stitches. While the forest design uses both knit and purl, the rest of the towel is knitted in garter stitch. The subtle tree pattern creates an enchanting forest for any season.

This hanging towel is consistent with my other Stay Put Towels in that it DOESN’T NEED A BUTTON and WON’T SLIP OFF THE HANDLE! It also has TWICE THE DRYING SPACE of the usual
knitted towel. It is knitted with soft cotton worsted weight yarn, and has a keyhole placed midway through that allows one end of the towel to pull through the other for a decorative and
functional kitchen towel.

Light to medium colored yarn is recommended for best design visibility.

Stitches used: Knit, purl, k2tog, cast on, bind off, cable cast on (link included).

Yarn Used – 247 yards/130 grams Knit Picks Dishie (Green towel is Jade. Blue gray towel is Wisp.) (Different yarn may alter the yardage.)

Finished Size of Towel -- 8 x 27 inches
