Forget-me-not Socks
FORGET-ME-NOT SOCKS
Inspired by the cute little Forget-me-not spring flowers in my garden, these socks are knitted from the toe up, feature a gusset for foot shaping and an afterthought heel. Last makes it possible to easily continue the colourwork pattern and still get a solid coloured heel.
The stitches for the heel are marked with a bit of scrap yarn, and are worked after the rest of the sock is done. You will put these stitches back on your needle, and knit a nicely shaped heel. A small chart is used for the colourwork.
The Forget-me-not Socks use my own developed modular system. There are four foot circumference sizes, to fit feet with a circumference 17,5-25 cm / 6 7/8-9 7/8”. This ensures a perfect fit.
Each of these sizes is compatible with the following shoe sizes:
EU 32-45
UK 1-10.5
US 2-12
This system makes for socks that fits perfectly throughout all different kinds of feet and sizes!
You will first pick the correct circumference size, and the pattern describes clearly what to do next to reach your correct shoe size.
