Every year, I look forward to preparing these little creatures for their quiet release-my personal reward for surviving the depths of tax season. This year’s critter is especially close to my heart and happens to be one of my longtime favorites.

To bring this year’s critter to life, you’ll need four colors of DK-weight yarn.

C1: 200 yards. This is your main color and will set the tone-choose one you truly love.

C2: 50 yards. This color site directly beside C1, so make sure they work well together. The level of contrast is entirely up to you.

C3: 25 yards, this should be a very light color.

C4: 25 yards, this should be a very dark color.

Yardages include extra yardage to ensure that there is enough for your gauge.
