The two color Brioche pattern with garter edges is first worked flat from the V tip to make the first ear flap, then a garter stripe is worked, followed by the second ear flap. The work is then joined to be worked in the round- stitches are picked up from the garter stripe to form the two color garter stitch above the forehead.
Therefore, this hat should be work by those who have mastered two color brioche- both flat and in the round.

Final measurements:
Circumference: 49-55 cm
Height from above the forehead to top- 21 cm

Yarn, needles and gauge
The hat is worked in two colors- a light one (LC), and a dark one (DC). The pattern comes out the best when the LC yarn is on the top- as the main color.

Yarn weight: fingering 355- 400 m for 100 g. LC- 25 g, DC- 30g.
Gauge for brioche: 21 st and 30 rows= 10 cm/ 4’’ in 2 color brioche with 3mm/ US 2.5 circular needles or DPNs.
There is no need to hard block, as I did not for the sample. Simply wash and lay flat to dry.
