The sweater is worked from the top down with increases for raglan along the yoke. The neckline is first worked in 1x1 rib, and then German Short Rows are worked across the back and shoulders. The short rows create an extension of the neck and give the neckline a neat shape. The body is finished with colorwork, followed by 1x1 rib and an Italian bind-off.
Find the right size
To make the stitch count of the body pattern fit evenly, two sizes have been combined into one size. The positive ease therefore varies and is approximately 10–30 cm. It is recommended to measure the widest part of the torso to find the desired size for the sweater.
The sizes correspond to a bust measurement of 75–85 (85–95) 95–110 (110–130) 130–150 cm, and the sweater has the following chest widths: 95 (113) 127 (141) 155 cm.
Example:
If your bust measurement is 108 cm, size L/XL will give a positive ease of 19 cm (127 – 108 = 19).
If you prefer less ease, size M/L will give the following ease: 113 – 108 = 5 cm.
The model in the photo has a bust measurement of 83 cm (30 cm of ease compared to bust measurement) and is wearing size S/M with a total length of 62 cm.
