Frisky Red Fox does not feel the necessity to dress up in bangles for the Canada 150 birthday celebrations. She is an elegant and stately image all on her own!
She looks forward to partying with her friends when they arrive for the party. Until that time, however, she stands on guard in case there are any dangers lurking in the bushes. She is never really at ease. Being alert is bred into her and in order to survive she knows that she must stand alert and have her ears up.
Frisky is knit in Carons Simply Soft Light (3) yarn. The head and body are knit in one piece, working the white and pumpkin colors together with intarsia. Beginning at the tip of her pointed nose, the pattern uses short rows to form the neck and head. The legs and ears are knit separately and added last.
The tail is done in Fun Fur and attached to the derriere to give her the elegance she deserves.

Celebrations do not always have to be glitz and glamour. Foxy is proof that sometimes elegance and style can deliver the message just as well.
Whether you are celebrating the Canadian 150 birthday or not, do take the time to make this beautiful animal. I am sure you will fall in love with her as I have.
Note: this IS a more lengthly and detailed design than some of the others in this series BUT the pdf gives you full line by line details to accomplish this creation.
