The Frostberry Cardigan is worked top-down, holding 1 strand of Alpakka Ull together with 1 strand of silk mohair, on US 8 (5 mm) needles.

First you work the upper back flat, following the chart, until the length reaches the armholes. Then, stitches are picked up from the shoulder, and two front pieces are knit until underarm length. The three pieces are joined, and you continue knitting the body back and forth on one needle until it reaches the desired length. Sleeve stitches are picked up from armholes and knit top-down in the round according to chart. Finally, stitches are picked up along the entire front edge and neckline for the button bands and neck ribbing.

The gauge of 17 sts = 10 cm / 4″ on US 8 (5 mm) needles allows for multiple yarn options.
