This pattern was designed with everyone in mind. It is suitable for beginners, for people looking for a quick knit, for frugal knitters, for commuters frustrated by stores that favor fashion over function…

I chose this project specifically for its simplicity and satisfaction; the pattern is an easy, mindless knit that will produce an item that is both beautiful and functional. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and I look forward to your feedback.

UPDATE 11/01/15: I wore the scarf for a week without blocking and it can definitely do without. However, after that week I decided to block it in the wash and I love the results! (See last two project photos) The edges are perfectly straight, garter throughout is even, finished item feels lighter and almost silky to touch while retaining cushiness. The best part, for me, is a slight fuzziness all over. Gives it a bit of a soft, dreamy look. Hot/cold wash cycle and Medium heat/regular intensity drying cycle (full).

-The Blue Mountain
