This is a winged triangular shawlette with a garter stitch border that is knit from center back to the bottom edge. Yarn overs at each end and along the center stitch are used to form the triangle shape. Increases are worked at the edges on both right and wrong sides and at the center stitch on right side only.

While the top is worked in a more readily available yarn (125 yds), the bottom three inches of the shawl are worked with a small yardage (40 yards) of a luxury yarn. Thus giving you an excuse to buy that yummy yarn that you’ve been drooling over, but couldn’t persuade yourself to get because the yardage was just too small.

Or, as an added bonus, it’ll give you a chance to use some of those stray balls you’ve had rolling around in your stash forever because they’re just too small.
