This shawl was inspired by the yarn to start with, I had no idea how it would work out until I’d finished the first few wedges of the shawl, it just developed from there. I do love garter stitch, it creates a lovely fabric and really shows off a colour changing yarn. It can be made in any yarn and even stripped. The pattern itself is repeated for each wedge so it’s easy to pick up and take anywhere without needing a pattern to hand (once you’ve got the hang of the changes of direction). It uses the wrap and turn short row method to create the wedges with an i-cord edge either side to create a neat non-curling finish.

Difficulty
This is knitted in one yarn which has changed colour throughout. You will use garter stitch throughout with an i-cord edge and short rows with wrap and turns to create the shapes. Written instructions for techniques are provided
