This is a garter stitch blanket made in strips and seamed at the end. Each strip is constructed on the bias for the overall zig zag effect. The pattern includes a schematic for how to place three colors of aran weight yarn for this geometric effect. You’ll need around 800 yards of each color, meaning one ball of each of your three colors in the yarn called for in the pattern.

A relaxing TV knit which also makes a great gift!

Techniques needed:
~knit stich
~basic increase and decrease (k2tog, ssk, and kfb, with written instructions for each of these)
~basic seaming

Note that the gauge for this project isn’t important unless you are trying to match the exact size of the blanket. It’s better to choose a needle size that works with your yarn to make a nice fabric.
