DESIGN OVERVIEW
The Gia Top is worked bottom-up in stockinette stitch. The front and back are worked flat separately, shaped using decreases and increases to create a silhouette with gentle waist shaping. The armholes and shoulder slopes are shaped with bind-offs while short rows are used to shape the neckline, for a smooth and comfortable fit. The neckband is then worked flat as a continuation of each piece before the stitches are bound off. Finally, the front and back are seamed at the sides and shoulders.
SIZE GUIDE
The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm 31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39½) 39½-43¼ (43¼-47¼) 47¼-51¼ (51¼-55) 55-59 in.
The Gia Top has a gently shaped fit and is designed to have approx. 5–10 cm 2–4 in of positive ease, with the larger sizes featuring less ease to ensure a more balanced and comfortable fit. This means the garment’s measurements will be approx. 5–10 cm 2–4 in larger than your bust, waist, and hip circumference, depending on the size. Measure your body before you begin to choose the size that fits best. For example, if your bust measures 95 cm 37½ in, you should knit a size M. The finished garment for size M is 100 cm 39¼ in, which gives approx. 5 cm 2 in of positive ease.

GAUGE
20 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 in in stockinette stitch on 4 mm US 6 needles.
Swatches are measured after washing and blocking. Adjust needle size as needed to match gauge.
SUGGESTED NEEDLES
4 mm US 6, 80 or 100 cm 32 or 40 in circular needles.
SUGGESTED YARN
350 (400) 450 (450) 500 (550) 600 (650) 700 g Crealino by Lang Yarns (50 g = 165 m 180 yds) or 350 (350) 400 (400) 450 (500) 550 (550) 600 g Nepal by Pascuali (50 g = 180 m 197 yds). Keep two strands of yarn held together throughout the process.
Alternative yarn: This design can be worked either with a single strand of yarn or with two strands held together. For a single-strand version, look for a heavier linen, cotton-linen, or similar plant-fiber blend yarn at approx. 80–100 m 87–109 yds per 50 g. For a two-strand version, choose a linen or cotton-linen blend yarn at approx. 165–200 m 180–219 yds per 50 g. Always make a gauge swatch before starting, as the structure and drape of the yarn may affect the final fit.
NOTIONS
