Prima versione Scialle Giada.

Lo scialle l’ho realizzato con una sola matassa di Malabrigo lace.

La matassa è tinta a mano ed è unica perché le sfumature variano a seconda della matassa.

Il nome l’ho scelto pensando alla giada una pietra preziosa anch’essa dai colori sfumati come lo scialle e come questo filato bellissimo e pregiato.

Lo scialle ha forma triangolare, lo si può indossare anche come sciarpa kefiah.

Il motivo traforato è su di 10 maglie 5 traforate e 5 a legaccio.

I punti dello scialle sono semplici.
Io ho utilizzato dei marcapunti ogni 10 maglie per avere un maggiore controllo del lavoro.

E’ lavorato in piano in ferri di andata e ritorno, dall’alto verso il basso.
Si parte con 3 maglie e ad ogni inizio di ferro ci sono gli aumenti così come nella parte centrale.

La chiusura è morbida e leggermente ondulata.

Lo scialle finito misura circa 136 cm di larghezza, 52 cm di altezza.

Ho utilizzato i ferri circolari n. 4,5, per dare maggiore morbidezza alla lavorazione.

Ho realizzato due scialli di colore diverso e il metraggio non era il medesimo, per il colore sapphire green ho lavorato un ferro in meno.

Il pattern è composto da tre PDF:

parte a: le caratteristiche dello scialle (nella prima pagina) nelle successive ogni singolo ferro con la direzione del lavoro, il ferro di riferimento, i punti lavorati e le maglie totali di ogni ferro.
Nell’ultima pagina la spiegazione delle abbreviazioni con il loro significato e i simboli utilizzati negli schemi.

parte b: è dedicata interamente agli schemi dello scialle.
Ho fatto questa scelta pensando a chi vuole realizzare uno scialle ma ha difficoltà nel seguire gli schemi.

GIADA SHAWL – ENGLISH VERSION

First version of Giada shawl.
Giada shawl is made with a single twisted hank of Malabrigo Lace.
The twisted hank is hand-dyed and is unique because the shades vary depending on the skein.

I chose the name thinking of jade, a precious stone that is also shaded in color like the shawl and like this beautiful and luxurious yarn.

The shawl has a triangular shape, it can also be worn as a keffiyeh scarf.

The lace pattern is on ten stitches, 5 lace stitches and 5 garter stitches.

The stitches are simple.
I used stitch markers every 10 stitches to have more control over knitting.

The shawl is worked flat, back and forth, from top to bottom.
Start with 3 stitches and at the beginning of each row there are increases as well as in the central part.

The closure is soft and slightly wavy.

The finished shawl measures approximately 136 cm wide (53.54 inches), 52 cm high (20.47 inches).

A single twisted hank of Malabrigo Lace, cadmium col 7. I made two shawls of different colors. The footage was not the same, for the sapphire green, I knit one row less.
Approximately 429 meters or 470 yards.

Circular needles no. 4.50 mm of 100 cm.

The pattern is composed of three PDFs

part A: the characteristics of the shawl (on the first page) in the following pages each single row with the direction of work, the reference row, the stitches worked and the total stitches of each row.
On the last page the explanation of the abbreviations with their meaning and the symbols used in the diagrams.

part B: is dedicated entirely to shawl charts.
I made this choice thinking of those who want to make a shawl but have difficulty following the charts.
