Gigi’s Poncho is both a fun knit as well as an interesting accessory that is useful in all seasons. Smaller than typical ponchos, it can be worn in place of a sweater indoors or, on cool days, it works just as well over a sweater as an outer wrap.

The poncho’s finished measurements, 58” x 20”, lends it to fitting most. However, for those who prefer, or need a larger or smaller garment, adding or subtracting one pattern repeat adds or subtracts 8”. Aran weight yarn, or a lighter yarn that works up nicely in the recommended gauge, and size 9 needles keeps the project moving along at a rapid clip, providing satisfying progress.
