Gilded Flicker is a cozy, garter stitch crescent shawl knit sideways from end to end. The lace motif is reversible, making this the perfect piece to reach for when you need a touch of extra warmth. Choose a cheery color to brighten up the dreariest day!

Please Note: This design has been fully tech edited by my talented TE Liz to ensure a pleasant and error-free knitting experience. The pattern assumes knowledge of basic increases and decreases and uses a series of short rows in the center panel. The 7 page pattern contains Charts ONLY. Line by line written instructions are not included.

A dear poet friend of mine composed the following poem, inspired by the Gilded Flicker Shawl. Wear yours in good health and enjoy!

PEACE
The frigid winds of winter
Have seeped inside
This ancient house
Of memories
And forget-me-nots.

I make my way patiently
Throughout its rooms,
Soothing candlelight
Following in my wake.
Our clouds of breath are no more.

Your cold hands are busy
Giving life to a hearth
Filled with soft fire
Meant to heat us to the core,
A warmth of love and hope.

The house breathes new life
As you place the fine wool
Across my shoulders.
We settle in, as peace settles amongst us;
Our future knows no bounds.
