This pattern is designed to be worked with super bulky plush chenille yarns like Himalaya Dolphin Baby, Wolans Yarns Bunny Baby, or YarnArt Dolce, giving your finished toy a soft, velvety feel. Although you can also use other yarns like Bernat Blanket or similar bulky yarns, just keep in mind that the toy’s size will vary depending on your yarn choice.

Basic crochet knowledge is required:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
BO – bobble stitch
inc – increase
dec – decrease

Materials & Tools:

Chunky chenille / plush yarn (100% polyester, 100 g / 120 m = 3.5 oz / 131 yds)
Yarn needed:
Beige ~95 g / 3.4 oz
Red ~60 g / 2.1 oz
White ~45 g / 1.6 oz
Light Pink ~12 g / 0.4 oz

  • 4 mm (size G-6) crochet hook
  • Polyester fiberfill stuffing (hollow fiber) ~ 105 g = 3.7 oz
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • Stitch markers (or thin threads)
  • 2 thin threads (to mark eye placement)
  • 18 mm (0.7 in) plastic safety eyes
  • Thin black yarn (for embroidering eye lines and a mouth)

Finished Size:
If you use the listed or similar materials, the finished toy will be approximately 38 cm (15 in) tall.
