A quick pattern for a knitted cozy for a 18-20 oz. plastic “party” cup or 20 oz. coffee cup. The slightly textured washable cotton absorbs condensation on those slippery party cups and insulates coffee cups!

Color selection of the yarns is key: in addition to white or off-white, select two colors of the same tone but different values. Dishie colorway combinations I have used to create this simulated gingham are:

  • Mulberry, Lilac Mist, and Swan
  • Black, Silver, and Swan
  • Blue, Silver, and Swan
  • Jalapeno, Honeydew, and Swan

This is a really fun, easy stitch design with only 3 unique rounds. Due to the slipped stitches of the mosaic knitting technique and the use of only 1 yarn color per round, it works up very quickly!

Makes a great take-home party favor - try some in several color combinations.
