Construction: This sweater is intended for everyone, regardless of gender. It is a drop shoulder design, and is knit from the top down. It is designed to have anywhere between 20-38 cm / 8-15” of positive ease. If you prefer a tighter fit, you can size down. You’ll begin by working the back yoke flat in the gingham pattern, shaping the shoulders with German short rows, and working in stockinette. The front yoke is also worked flat in the gingham pattern, starting with picking up and knitting each shoulder separately while shaping the neckline. The front shoulders are then joined to complete the neck opening. Once the front and back yokes are complete, they are joined to form the body, which is knit in the round in the gingham pattern. Stitches are then picked up for the sleeves and neckline, both of which are worked in the round. The sleeves can be knit with either smaller or larger fruits, and you can choose between strawberry, lemon, and blueberry. There are separate PDFs for smaller and bigger fruits. This is an intermediate to advanced pattern.
