The Loon Headband is an ode to my favourite bird - the loon. It is a great way to use up extra yarn and keep your head warm through shifting seasons.

Construction: The headband is worked entirely in the round. First, you’ll knit the top section, followed by the loon mural, and then the bottom section. After finishing the knitting, block the piece and seam the top and bottom edges together using mattress stitch.

Sizes: XS, S, M, L

Finished Headband Circumference: 50, 54.5, 57, 61 cm / 20, 21.5, 22.5, 24 in

Gauge: 18 st x 24 rows = 10 x 10cm / 4 x 4 in, blocked

Suggested Needles: 3.5 mm circular needles or 3.5mm double pointed needles

Suggest Yarn: Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino (50g = 125m) / (1.76 oz = 137 yds)
Main colour (A): 50, 50, 50, 50g
Loon Contrast colour (B): 25, 25, 25, 25g

Additional Materials: Tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers, measuring tape, elastic thread
