I often joke about how I solve all my problems with yarn. But the thing is, it is largely true! I needed some new oven mitts and was just not thrilled with what I found in stores. Then I thought about how wool is flame retardant and super insulating and viola! The idea for these mitts was born! And let me tell you, these are the BEST oven mitts that I’ve ever used during a lifetime of cooking and baking. There is no heat transfer at all – even when I grab a HOT roasting pan from a 450 degree oven! I love them and I can’t stop making them. I LOVE this project! Size US 10.5 (6.5mm) DPNS or 40” circular for magic loop
Darning needle for weaving in ends
Waste yarn from provisional cast on or optional Knitting Barber Cords (seebelow)
Crochet hook for provisional cast on or optional Knitting Barber Cords (seebelow)

4 sts/inch in colorwork pattern, exact gauge is not important for this project since
you are going to felt it
