Easy mosaic knitting is used to create this cheerful gingham napkin ring. The 6-row repeat of the gingham pattern is deceptively effective and fun to work!

Color selection of the yarns is key: in addition to white or off-white, select two colors of the same tone but different values. In the featured sample, Dishie yarns in colorways “Mulberry” and “Lilac Mist” are combined with “Swan”.

Other Dishie colorway combinations I have used to create this simulated gingham are:

  • Black, Silver, and Swan
  • Blue, Silver, and Swan
  • Jalapeno, Honeydew, and Swan

An interesting neutral option would be:

  • Coffee, Linen, and Swan

Double-pointed needles (US #5 and 6)are required for this project.
