It began with an impulse purchase, a crocheted cowl, and then a few requests for a knit version. Thank you to those who gave me the inspiration to make this version of the Give It A Tri Cowl! Enjoy!

Materials:

  • 1 ball Lang Yarns Infinity Superwash (100% merino wool, 284 yds per 100 g, shown in color 04)
  • US 6 circular needle 24” length (optional US 5 if you want a snugger border)
  • Yarn needle and scissors for weaving in ends
  • Optional locking stich marker to hold a stitch if you are uncomfortable leaving it on your needle If subbing yarn or using a partial ball of Lang Infinity plan on 6g per triangle to be safe. 8 triangles will get you a 24” circumference cowl. 10 will get you 32” circumference. I was looking to “match” the crochet version so opted for 8 triangles. I had approximately 30g of yarn left. Triangles are worked over an odd number of stitches.

Measurements:
Finished cowl is approximately 24 inches in circumference and 7.25 inches deep after blocking. Gauge is 23 sts x 29 rows in a 4 x 4-inch square in stockinette stitch.
