Giverny Socks
The Giverny socks are inspired by country gardens. They have an all over lace pattern and a picot edge on the cuff for a delicate, feminine effect. Instructions for a 1x1 ribbed cuff are also included. They are knitted cuff down and use a heel flap and gusset construction.
Sizes: 1 (2)
Finished circumference: 17cm / 6.5in (19cm / 7.5in)
This sock is designed to have approx 4-5cm / 1.5-2in negative ease.
Needles: 2.25mm / US 1 circular needle with at least 80cm / 31in cable. (Please note, although this pattern is written with magic loop in mind, it can be adapted for DPNs or a 25cm circular sock needle)
Gauge: 38 sts = 10cm / 4in
(note - gauge is measured AFTER blocking. Before blocking gauge is approx. 50 sts per 10cm.)
Materials:
100g of 4ply sock yarn, such as Filcolana Arwetta, West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4ply, Drops Fabel.
Light beige sample was knitted in Filcolana Arwetta in the shade Marzipan. Burgundy sample was knitted in Rowan Sock in the shade Ruby.
