These cute little gnomes can brighten up any counter or desk! Fill them with candy or other goodies and you have a great gift for teachers, co-workers or anyone!

They would also be great for craft fairs. A cute way to use up the empty mason jars you have lying around. Plus they don’t take much yarn, are easy, inexpensive, and fairly quick to make.

I used 8 oz and 12 oz (Regular Mouth) Ball mason jars for mine. Any jar that measures 2.5” - 3” in diameter would work and the height is easily adjusted.

The jar covers and hats are made working in the round on dpns. The nose and beard are made working flat.

Materials needed:

Mason jars measuring 2.5” - 3” in diameter.
Medium Weight (4) yarn for the jar cover, nose and hat.
Less than 1.5 oz of yarn is needed for each piece.
Fur Yarn for the beard.
US 5 dpns (3.75mm)
Tapestry Needle
Stitch Marker & Scissors
Hot Glue is optional for securing the cover to the jar
