Gnimble is a reporter for the local newspaper, “Gnome News Is Good News”. (And can’t we just agree that it is a marvellous fact that gnome news really is good news?) He enjoys talking to local sources (although gnomes call them friends), finding out the latest scoops (like “Little Gnipper eats triple-scoop pumpkin ice-cream cone!”), and writing articles.

Gnimble is a fun gnome designed to showcase bold yarns like self-striping and variegated colourways.

Gauge
28 stitches and 44 rows = 10 cm in stockinette in the round on smaller needles

Materials
Yarn
If you’re shopping for minis, you’ll need three 20g minis of fingering weight yarn. You’ll want:
C1) 20g self-striping
C2) 20g solid or semi-solid yarn, possibly subtly speckled but keep this calm so your self-striping can strut its stuff
C3) 20g for hand/beard/nose-type uses.

More detailed information is in the preknitalong PDF available to download when you buy the pattern right now.

Needles
US 1 / 2.25 mm and US 1.5 / 2.5 mm needles for knitting small circumference in the round, or size needed to get gauge.
Note: if you are using magic loop, you will need an extra needle for the grafting.

Notions
yarn needle, removable stitch markers, scrap yarn, crochet hook, roving/polyfill stuffing, weighted stuffing like poly pellets/aquarium gravel/dried beans

NOTE: the crochet hook is only for the provisional cast-on. There is no crochet in this gnome. Also, you can do any provisional cast-on if you have a method you are already comfortable with.
