Taking an idea straight from the catwalk, these simple mitts are a quick knit and will add a final stylish flourish to your outfit this season.

The mitts are worked from the cuff towards the fingers; they have an “afterthought” thumb, with no thumb gusset.

The stripes are created using slip stitch patterns that mean only one colour of yarn needs to be handled on each round. But do be careful to strand the working yarn loosely behind the slipped stitches, or the mitt could end up too tight.
