Never break the chain by making the biggest shawl you can!
This easy pattern includes a universal chart. It is written in UK terms.
You Will Need:
King Cole Embrace DK, 60% Nylon, 40% Acrylic, 100g/245m/267yds, 6 balls in Ruby 
6mm hook (J-10)
Abbreviations:

beg beginning
Finished size: Approx 55 x 136 inches ( 140 x 346cm)
As this is a large shawl, you may need to add or subtract a few rows to take your height into account. I am 5 foot, 8 inches and you can see that it sweeps my ankles.
King Cole Embrace is a fluffy yarn, you can use any DK you fancy to make this shawl. If you’re an absolute beginner, you may find using a less fluffy yarn a bit easier to navigate. This stuff won’t frog!
