Godin is a squishy hat made of the most soft and luxurious yarn in beautiful tweedy colors. It doesn’t take more than one skein to make, so it is a perfect project for that special yarn in your stash.

The fabric of the hat is not super thick, perfect for spring and fall weather. I like to carry it in the pocket of my coat, and put it on when I feel a little cold, or when walking outside in chilly weather, as it also covers the ears and protects them from the cold.

Construction: Godin Hat is knitted in the round, bottom up. Short rows are used while working the brim to slightly elongate it at the sides and back so as to cover the ears and keep them warm! The textured stitch pattern is simple to work and fun!

Techniques used: decreasing, German short rows, making bobbles and chart-reading skills or able to follow written instructions for a simple stitch pattern. (Links to tutorials are included in the Tutorial section of the pattern).
