This is a traditional shetland hap shawl with leaf stitch pattern, simple garter border and picot cast off edge.

The construction is straight forward and you can easily memorise the pattern repeat, making it a good travel project.

Yarn
Pattern requires 600 metres of fingering weight yarn. If you re substituting yarn then please use a yarn that has good drape.

Shown in Eden Cottage Yarn Askham 4-ply in “Yarrow” (70% Baby Alpaca / 30% Mulberry Silk; 50 grams balls ; 200 metres / 218 yards). You will need three balls of this yarn.

Shown in Araucania Botany Lace in “PT2114” (100% Extra Fine Merino Wool; 100 grams; 410 metres / 450 yards. You will need 1.5 skeins of this yarn.
