This hat is part of the “Rios Rocks Volume One” collection. The collection is 6 hat designs created with Malabrigo Rios yarn using the colours from the Olympic Rings logo. All the patterns use only one skein or less, and the instructions are simple enough for a beginner knitter too.

Yarn
Shown in Main Colour (MC) Malabrigo Rios ‘036 Pearl’ (100% Merino; 100 grams; 192 metres/210 yards), one skein required for all three sizes; and approximately 3 grams of each contrast colour: CC1 ‘035 Frank Ochre’, CC2 ‘195 Black’, CC3 ’150 Azul Profundo’, CC4 ‘037 Lettuce’, and CC5 ‘611 Ravelry Red. If you are substituting yarn please use a yarn that has some stretch to allow for a nice flexible fit around the head.

Needles
4.5 mm and 5 mm 40cm circular needles

Notions
1 stitch marker to mark beginning of round and a darning needle to sew in ends.

Gauge
16 sts & 24 rows to 4” / 10 cm in Stocking Stitch on larger needle

Finished Measurements
Small 20” :: Medium 22” :: Large 24”
