This poncho is all about the colours! Inspired by the beautiful “Going, Going, Gondola” five skein set be Crabapple yarns, it just HAD to be a marled fade! Knit holding two strands of fingering weight yarn together, the result is a gorgeous celebration of colour that invokes a Venetian Sunset. It’s like painting with yarn!

Amanda Byrd of Crabapple Yarns has put together some gorgeous kits with different colour options for the Gondola poncho and you can shop them at Crabappleyarns.com.

The construction is a classic rectangle, knit flat in a simple repeating lace pattern, then folded and seamed with a neck opening. Stitches are then picked up and knit in the round to create the cowl neck. Because the lace is stretchy this simple shape and size looks fantastic on a great range of body sizes and types.

As with all Tall Tree Designs patterns, Gondola is written in a clear instructional style and includes plenty of pro tips and video tutorials to ensure your success.
