Good Vibrations Cowl
NOTES
This cowl uses a provisional cast on and is knit flat in garter stitch using decreases and increases to obtain the chevron effect and then grafted at the end. There is one main color and four contrasting colors creating both stripes and color blocking. When joining new yarn be sure to leave a 6 in / 15 cm tail for weaving in except where noted. You may wish to use stitch markers to put on either side of the stitch that is located in between each pair of decreases and increases, i.e. using blue to mark decreases and yellow to mark increases. See instructions for placing the stitch markers on row 2 in section 1 of the pattern. Stitch markers are also used to help with the grafting, as check points and are-as to tighten up the graft stitches. This pattern maximizes the use of the contrast colors, thus gauge is crucial.
