The Good Winds Hood is a seamless, flat-knit hooded scarf worked in sequential sections. It begins with a seed-stitch rectangle that forms the top of the hood, with stitches picked up along one edge to shape the hood. The hood is worked in seed stitch to the desired length, then divided to create two scarf panels. An applied i-cord runs along the front edge of the hood and continues down the scarf edges, giving a neat, built-in finish. Each scarf panel begins in seed stitch before transitioning into a lace pattern, tapering gradually with even decreases for a soft, elegant drape.
