This sweater is knit sideways, with each side worked from the center of the body out to the sleeve cuffs. Due to the non-standard construction, this pattern is suitable for a knitter with some experience. However, it is not otherwise difficult to knit.

You will need to know how to make basic increases and decreases, provisionally cast-on, graft (kitchener stitch), 3-needle bind-off, and pick up stitches. If you want to avoid grafting, alternate methods for joining the sides are offered.

Intended to be worn with a few inches of positive ease at the bust. Length = 60 cm / 23.5 inches, but is easily modified.

Choose an aran or worsted weight yarn that produces a fabric that is not too rigid. Shown in Lang Yarns Yak.
